Schiit KARA Preamplifier / Headphone Amp

Selling this for a friend of mine. He purchased a streaming unit and no longer requires this preamp.

Bought new 1.5 years ago, in pristine condition (have original box). Comes with a remote control and has a relay-switched stepped attenuator volume control with discrete thin-film resistors.

This volume control « clicks » when turned. Solid aluminum IR remote control is magnetic and will stick to the side of the unit or any other ferrous surface when not in use. It controls all front panel functions: volume, input select, gain, and mute.

This is a great sounding preamp with a three level gain selector switch: Passive/Low/High.

This unit is also a great headphone amp that automatically mutes the preamp output, when headphones are inserted.

Inputs: 2 XLR pairs plus 3 RCA pairs, selectable via front switch or remote.

Outputs: 1 XLR pair plus 2 RCA pairs, selectable via front switch or remote.

This original (non-F) version Kara would cost around $800 USD with shipping, about 15% sales tax, and 40% exchange rate.
