Groundbreaking Sonatas

Jonathan Freeman-Attwood and Daniel-Ben Pienaar have a reputation for breaking boundaries and transforming trumpet repertoire as we know it, and their latest release, Romantic Trumpet, is typically daring.

In this third release of music for trumpet and piano, Freeman-Attwood and Pienaar have collaborated again to see what happens when enthusiastic artists decide to experiment and re-work classic sonatas of the 19th and 20th century. In the resulting new arrangements, the duo has embraced the defining characteristics of each piece whilst breathing new life into these well-known compositions and widening the trumpet canon.

Romantic Trumpet is an album filled with refreshing and revolutionary interpretations of string music from the Romantic and Post-Romantic era; truly an album to be inspired by. It is available to download now in up to Studio Master 192 quality and can be pre-ordered on SACD.
