System B:
This system combined Avantgarde Mezzo horns together with an Esoteric preamplifier, Wadax digital source and DAC and AirTight monaural amplifiers.
The sound was natural, warm and inviting.
System C:
In the large back room was the pièce de resistance of the visit. Audio taken to an extreme high-end level, combining the Avantgarde Trio G3 with six… yeah six Avantgarde Spacehorns; two Single Drive units and four Twin Drive units.
Feeding this system was an Esoteric Grandioso K1XSE CDP / Pa1 power, G1x master clock, D1xSe mono DAC, and M03T network transport (ROON ready).
An Esoteric T1 turntable and power supply, with Ikeda Arm and Phasemation PP-5000 cartridge was the analog source, playing through an E02 phonostage.
A VAC Statement Line Preamplifier with outboard Power Supply handled volume attenuation and on the side was a Wadax Studio Player.
This system sounded effortless, organic, with beautiful dynamic proficiency both in macro and micro terms.
There was a lovely fluid nature to the music and a larger-than-life presentation that was truly captivating.
