After releasing Élégante solitude in March, Bobby Bazini now shares Rouler en août, a new track from Seul au cinéma, his first French-language album, coming September 19th via Bobby Bazini / Spectra Musique.
Bobby says: Rouler en août pretty much wrote itself. We had the melody and a decent demo in just half a day. Everything was there — except the lyrics! It took me nearly six months to write them. It was Connor (Seidel)’s and my favorite song. I really wanted to finish it. Some songs are like that —you just have to be patient. The project wasn’t moving forward at all; there was still so much to do, but all I wanted was to get away. One morning, at dawn, my partner and I hit the road heading south to the U.S. It was April, but once we got there, it felt like August. On the way back, we had a song!
Rouler en août: a song for those urges to escape, for those Augusts that quietly glow within us.

After a few summer festival performances, the first leg of the Seul au cinéma tour kicks off in Val Morin (October 2nd and 3rd), Sutton (October 24th and 25th), Montreal (November 1st), and Quebec City (November 6th). It continues in 2026 with shows in Gatineau (February 23rd), Sherbrooke (February 26th), Mont-Laurier (February 27th), and Ste-Agathe (February 28th). More dates will be announced soon.
