– A New Album Recorded at Abbey Road Studios

Montreal, August 2025 — An undisputed master of the harmonica and a key figure in Canadian blues, Guy Bélanger is celebrating 50 years in music with Postcards from London, his tenth studio album, recorded at the legendary Abbey Road Studios in London. Scheduled for release on August 22nd on the Disques Bros label, Postcards from London offers a rich, evocative musical journey where blues, folk, and modern sounds intertwine with finesse and emotion.

On tour this fall, Guy Bélanger will perform pieces from Postcards from London with his band on several stages across Quebec, including the Grand Théâtre de Québec (October 16th), Salle Dussault in Thetford Mines (November 7th), Studio TD in Montreal (November 15th), and Salle Jean-Despréz in Gatineau (November 20th). Additional dates will be announced soon.

Produced by Guy Bélanger and Rob MacDonald, and mixed by the renowned Larry O’Malley and Glenn Scott (Eric Bibb, Mary J. Blige, James Blunt), the album features inspired collaborations with Eric Longsworth (cello), Mélissa Lavergne (percussion), Tommy Gauthier (violin), Mark LeClerc (saxophone), Rob Lutes (vocals), and Yves Frulla (Celine Dion) on piano. Produced by Session 5 Entertainment, Postcards from London evokes both the roots of blues and film music, all with a distinctly British touch.

I never imagined, even in my wildest dreams, that I would one day find myself in London recording at the legendary Abbey Road Studios! The atmosphere and magic of the place were present throughout the four days of recording, says Guy Bélanger.

With a career spanning over 1,000 performances in a dozen countries, ten albums, numerous prestigious collaborations (Celine Dion, Les Colocs, Cirque du Soleil, Bob Walsh), and award-winning film and television scores (Gaz Bar Blues, two Jutra Awards, the André-Gagnon/SPACQ Award), Guy Bélanger is known for his sensitivity, sincere virtuosity, and generosity on stage. He is a three-time Maple Blues Award winner for Harmonica Player of the Year (2014, 2017, 2023).
