Naim Audio




This year Naim concentrates in its UnitiSystem.  Simplicity and convenience, however, are not provided at the cost of true hi-fi performance.

The system comprises of NaimUniti and UnitiQute multi-source, all-in-one players, the UnitiServe CD ripping music server and an iPhone / iPod Touch app.  The connection of the Uniti System can be done both wired and wireless or in any combination you can think of.

System control can be done via touch screens, conventional remote, a computer (both PC or Mac are supported), as well as an iPhone / iPod Touch downloadable app.  Shown in the macro-shot, is the NaimUniti all-in-one audio player

Pro-Ject



Pro-Ject debuts a completely new lineup of turntables for the 2011 fiscal year. It entries with the Debut series that comes in 8 colours, USB output and included Ortofon OM-5E, to Pro-Ject PerpeX with magnetic suspension above a clear acrylic plinth and black Corian floating sub-chassis for a vibration free environment, to the Top of the Line Pro-Ject RM-10.1

The Pro-Ject RM-10.1 utilizes 10-inch tonearm to vastly reducing tracking distortion. A new Ground-it Deluxe 3 isolation base incorporates feet with floating magnetic technology for a very significant resonance and vibration reduction.

Also showcased a slew of cigarette-box-sized audio equipments such as pre-amp, iPod dock, power amplifier, DAC, headphone amplifier and more. No information was available during the show.

Totem Acoustic




Introduces SKINS, a collection of artwork to cover their on-wall speakers.  Installation is easy by the use of stretch fabric and magnetic clasp.

Artwork can be bought individually so no artwork is repeated within the same room.  Future plan is for the availability of custom SKIN work where the consumer can submit their own artwork / photos.

Also showcased, Totem’s latest lineup: The Element Series.  Boasting a new machined-chassis approach (as opposed to the regular molded or stamped ones), each driver requires 3 hours of machining plus another 4 hours of assembly and testing.

THis results precision that is only matched with watch making, not standard speaker manufacturing.  The woofer of this lineup have free air resonances in the 16-17 Hz area.  The Element Series, which consists of “Fire” ($6,000), “Earth” ($9,000) and “Metal” (13,000) are available in Dusk Black and Ice White.

Also available from Element Series:  “Wood” centre-channel and “Water” subwoofer.
