Disque \u00e0 tendance r\u00e9solument jazz-pop, <strong>Heart First<\/strong> a \u00e9t\u00e9 enregistr\u00e9 en compagnie de son collaborateur\/cor\u00e9alisateur <strong>Matt Treder<\/strong> (piano), ainsi que de <strong>Mark Schneider<\/strong> (basse), <strong>William Seiji Marsh<\/strong> (guitare), <strong>Brian West<\/strong> (batterie), <strong>Sergei Teleshev<\/strong> (accord\u00e9on), <strong>Rob Birdwell<\/strong> (trompette\/bugle), <strong>Hank Shreve<\/strong> (harmonica), et <strong>Dale Bradley<\/strong> (violoncelle).<\/p>\n<p>Elle sera de passage pour la premi\u00e8re fois \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al le <strong>samedi 14 avril<\/strong> prochain sur l\u2019intime sc\u00e8ne de<strong> l\u2019Upstairs Jazz Bar &amp; Grill<\/strong>. Clark et l\u2019excellente \u00ab A Woman\u2019s Way \u00bb en plus de classiques tels que \u00ab\u00a0Taking a Chance on Love \u00bb, \u00ab C\u2019est Si Bon \u00bb, \u00ab Fly Me To the Moon \u00bb en plus de magnifiques versions de \u00ab Smile \u00bb (Charlie Chaplin), \u00ab Lotta Love \u00bb (Neil Young) et \u00ab Crazy Love\u00bb (Van Morrison).<\/p>\n<p>\u00ab Je voulais, en fait, inclure plus de chansons originales. \u00bb, dit Halie. \u00ab J\u2019avais l\u2019intention de faire un disque plus blues, mais durant le processus de choix des pi\u00e8ces, j\u2019ai r\u00e9alis\u00e9 que mon approche changeait. J\u2019adorais la couleur que prenaient les chansons et au final elles ont donn\u00e9 dans un ton plus jazz-pop. Je voulais aussi que tout soit le plus naturel possible, que les instruments se d\u00e9marquent. Les chansons se pr\u00eataient bien \u00e0 la sonorit\u00e9 acoustique que l\u2019on retrouve sur l\u2019album. \u00bb<\/p>\n<p>Les pi\u00e8ces qui se retrouvent sur <strong>Heart First<\/strong> d\u00e9montrent la maturit\u00e9 d\u2019une artiste qui ne recherche plus la perfection \u00e0 tout prix, mais qui veut \u00e9tablir une relation privil\u00e9gi\u00e9e avec son public gr\u00e2ce \u00e0 sa musique. Halie Loren, c\u2019est aussi cette voix.
