She gradually builds each piece, riff by riff, with every note charged with emotion. This approach invites listeners into her creative process —where a single note or word, felt deeply, can spark an entirely new composition. These moments of pure emotion, expressed with clarity, are woven throughout the performance. The haunting vocals in Fall And All highlight Dominique’s artistic intuition. Her voice resonates like a mantra, opening an internal space where every emotion takes root. The audience’s silence underscores the transcendent quality of her performance.

On stage, Dominique’s music unfolds in its full richness and depth. Some songs blend seamlessly into the next, each ending flowing into a new beginning. This structure, like most of her artistic choices, is deliberate. It allows her to tell a story of energetic transformation, with each emotion building on the one before it. In retrospect, every feeling becomes essential to the experience of the present moment. The show’s continuity invites the audience to enter a state of flow with the musicians.

ON TOUR
31/05 – Quebec City – Grand Théâtre de Québec – 4:00 PM and 8:00 PM
23/06 to 30/06 – Osaka (Japan) – World Expo
10/07 – Vienna (France) – Opening for Jamie Cullum – Jazz à Vienne
11/07 – Casablanca (Morocco) – Jazzablanca Festival
13/07 – Rotterdam (Netherlands) – North Sea Jazz Festival
18/07 – Baie-St-Paul (Canada) – Le Festif!
02/08 – Campbellford (Canada) – Westben Festival
04/08 – Canmore (Canada) – Canmore Folk Festival
05/09 to 30/09 – U.S. Tour

Dominique Fils-Aimé’s new album Live at The Festival International de Jazz de Montréal will be available starting June 6 via Ensoul Records.
