The all-new subwoofer series is designed to extend Monitor Audio<\/strong>\u2019s independent range of subwoofers within the Home AV<\/em> and Custom Installation<\/em> space, extending flexibility for the consumer and integrator by enabling broader loudspeaker\u00a0\/\u00a0system-matching options and wider flexibility regarding budget.<\/p>\n

Engineered and developed alongside Monitor Audio<\/strong>\u2019s acclaimed, premium Anthra Series<\/em> Subwoofers, each of the three Vestra<\/em> Subwoofers\u00a0– the W10<\/em>, W12<\/em> and W15<\/em>\u00a0– include an acoustic package that enables Monitor Audio<\/strong> to deliver on its \u2018Transparent Design Philosophy\u2019<\/em>, which couples superior design elements, an intuitive user-experience and advanced acoustic engineering, ensuring that all the elements of performance, technology and design work in harmony.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a>Acoustic Innovation<\/span><\/em>
\nMonitor Audio<\/strong> has been at the forefront of metal cone driver technology and its development for close to four-decades. Vestra<\/em> subwoofers utilise Monitor<\/strong> Audio<\/strong>\u2019s proprietary C-CAM<\/em> cone technology (C<\/em><\/strong>eramic-C<\/strong>oated A<\/strong>luminum M<\/strong>agnesium<\/em>)\u00a0\u2013 a cone technology ideally suited for subwoofers. The properties of C-CAM<\/em> ensure a more fatigue-resistant, stronger and lighter cone. The result is a cone material that offers far greater pistonic movement under extreme stresses, over standard aluminum cones.<\/p>\n

Behind the C-CAM<\/em> cones are powerful new motor systems, featuring triple suspension (W12<\/em> and W15<\/em>), uprated venting and larger, round-wound voice coils made of high purity copper wire. The suspension provides greater control and precision under extreme low frequencies, the venting supports greater airflow, reducing unwanted heat, and the larger voice coil delivers the highest possible BI<\/em> (field strength). FEA<\/em> optimisation of the steel components also helps linearise the Bl<\/em> curve\u00a0– this results in improved consistency of the magnetic field through the gap, which reduces distortion.<\/p>\n

The C-CAM<\/em> bass driver surround has also been carefully optimised. It allows the largest cone surface possible, so that the excursion is controlled without overstretching and causing distortion or breaking.<\/p>\n

The result of this carefully engineered, high-linear excursion bass driver is that Vestra<\/em> subwoofers will deliver exceptional bass responses, with swiftness, dexterity, total control and total power, that delivers on musicality and depth.<\/p>\n

\nPowerful Class-D Amplification<\/strong><\/span>Vestra<\/em> subwoofers feature a powerful Class-D amplifier (250-Watt amplifier powers the Vestra W10<\/em>, whilst a 500-Watt amplifier powers the Vestra W12<\/em> and W15<\/em>). Each has been optimised and configured to match the drive unit and speaker system.<\/p>\n

\nVestra<\/em> cabinets are meticulously crafted for both aesthetic elegance and acoustic performance. They are built with rigid, reinforced and braced 15\u00a0mm thick MDF<\/em> and finished in contemporary black or white vinyl, with painted matte, 21mm thick front baffles. The internal bracing ensures stability and enhances sound precision. Each cabinet minimises unwanted resonance, delivering pure, undistorted bass that resonates deeply.<\/p>\n

Sealed & Ported Designs<\/strong><\/span>
\nThe W10<\/em> and W12<\/em> models benefit from a fully sealed enclosure, ideal for placement versatility, whilst the larger W15<\/em> utilises a ported design. The large diameter port design with large radiused exit flares reduces turbulence and supports air-flow within the port, allowing for fast, extended powerful bass and greater transient response.<\/p>\n
