\"\"<\/a>This major Quebec manufacturer had reserved a large room to demonstrate its products from the brand-new MOON<\/em><\/strong> North<\/em> series. <\/span>For the occasion, a chain had been assembled with the 891<\/em> networked preamplifier-music player, the top of the North<\/em> pre-amplification range. The latter can be controlled by the superb BRM-1<\/em> remote control, featuring a touch-sensitive OLED<\/em> display. This communicates with the Bluetooth<\/em> wireless protocol, so you don’t need to be in front of the 891<\/em> preamplifier to control it. With the same functions, a tablet and smartphone application is also available for browsing your music preferences on the Web, on your computer or on your music server. <\/span><\/p>\n

The 861<\/em> power amplifier powered a pair of sumptuous XB Diamond<\/em> speakers from Estelon<\/strong>. Needless to say, the sound was exceptional.<\/span><\/p>\n

Cette nouvelle boutique de Ch\u00e2teauguay a ouvert ses portes le 26\u00a0octobre 2023. Le propri\u00e9taire Martin Leblanc<\/strong> a d\u00e9j\u00e0 \u00e9toff\u00e9 son catalogue de produits avec des marques qui ne sont pas tr\u00e8s r\u00e9pandues dans les autres boutiques sp\u00e9cialis\u00e9es en haute-fid\u00e9lit\u00e9. On peut y voir et entendre des produits venant de BAT<\/strong> des USA, de Fezz Audio<\/strong> de la Pologne, de Lejonklou Hi-Fi<\/strong> de la Su\u00e8de, de Shindo<\/strong> du Japon et de Wattson Audio<\/strong> de la Suisse.<\/span><\/p>\n

As for loudspeakers, you can listen to full-range speakers such as those from Cube Audio<\/strong> from Poland, Dutch & Dutch<\/strong> monitoring<\/em> loudspeakers from the Netherlands, Mofi Electronics<\/strong> concentric loudspeakers from the USA, and open-baffle <\/em>loudspeakers from Qualio IQ<\/strong>, also from Poland.<\/p>\n

In its Audiofest 2024<\/strong> area, a system comprising a Shindo<\/strong> Auriege<\/em> preamplifier, a Shindo<\/strong> Montille<\/em> amplifier and German SON 12639<\/em> loudspeakers from Wolf Von Langa<\/strong> could be heard.<\/p>\n

The sources were a J.Sikora<\/strong> Initial<\/em> turntable from Poland, a Wattson Audio<\/strong> Madison\u00a0LE<\/em> streamer from Switzerland and an Equinoz DAC<\/em> from Fezz Audio<\/strong>, also from Poland. All cabling was supplied by Luna Cables<\/strong> of Quebec. To say the least, Passion Audio<\/strong> is truly international.<\/p>\n

For this Repentigny, Qc boutique, it was possible to feast one’s ears on Hegel<\/strong>‘s new H600<\/em> integrated amplifier, Hegel<\/strong>‘s Viking CD<\/em> player, Hegel<\/strong>‘s V10<\/em> phono stage and an Emerson\u00a0LE<\/em> network player from Wattson Audio<\/strong>. For the analog portion, the source was a Quebec-made 33.2 MK2<\/em> turntable from Stable<\/strong> and a Reed\u00a01H<\/em> tone arm with Clear Cygnus<\/em> cabling from Cardas<\/strong>.<\/span><\/p>\n

The loudspeakers on display were MartinLogan<\/strong>‘s electrostatic Expression ESL\u00a013A<\/em>. All wiring was from Luna Cables<\/strong>, and power was filtered by a Saturn Audio<\/strong> 103C MK2<\/em> conditioner. Another of my best listening experiences at Audiofest 2024<\/strong> in Montreal.<\/span><\/p>\n
