EON ART-GERSHMAN ACOUSTICS-ORACLE<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

T\"\"he<\/a> large Wesmount\u00a05<\/em> hall was booked in collaboration with three Canadian manufacturers: Eon Art<\/strong>, Gershman Acoustics<\/strong> and Oracle<\/strong>. A new version of Gershman<\/strong> Acoustics<\/strong>‘ Black Swan<\/em> loudspeaker could be heard.<\/p>\n

The two loudspeakers were each connected to a Boson<\/em> monophonic integrated amplifier from Eon Art<\/em>. The analog source was an Oracle<\/strong> Reference MK\u00a0VI<\/em> turntable.<\/p>\n

Other products from these manufacturers were on static display, including the new Quark<\/em> SE<\/em> amplifier topped by an Oracle<\/strong> CD 2500<\/em> turntable. A picture shows the power supply circuits used on Eon Art<\/strong> devices.<\/p>\n

ERIKSON HOME<\/span><\/em><\/span>

Erikson Audio<\/strong> is a major Canadian distributor of both professional sound systems and high-fidelity retail products. Two rooms were reserved for demonstrations of well-known brands such as Arcam<\/strong>, Audiolab<\/strong>, Chord<\/strong>, Cyrus<\/strong>, JBL<\/strong>, Mission<\/strong> and Spendor<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

One room featured the return of the iconic Mission<\/strong>\u00a0770<\/em> loudspeakers, accompanied by the legendary Cyrus<\/strong> electronics. In the other room, JBL<\/strong>\u00a0100<\/em> loudspeakers, which have also been back on the market for the past 2\u00a0years, were on display. The accompanying electronics are from JBL<\/strong>. These products were developed in collaboration with Arcam<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

As for Chord<\/strong> products, entirely made in England, we presented the new Ultima<\/em> integrated amplifier, which should be the talk of the town in the months to come.<\/p>\n

FILTRONIQUE<\/strong><\/span><\/em><\/span><\/p>\n

This Montreal boutique had rented out a suite to display a multitude of the products it carries. The main attraction was a chain of new MOON<\/em><\/strong> North<\/em> electronics powering a magnificent pair of R8 Arret\u00e9<\/em> loudspeakers from Danish manufacturer Audiovector<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The technical design of this loudspeaker had been thought through to the last detail, including its home-made AMT<\/em> tweeter<\/em>. All copper parts and internal wiring have been cryogenically treated to ensure the best possible conductivity. The finish and build quality are superlative.<\/p>\n

On static display was a superb Transrotor<\/strong> Max<\/em> turntable on an audio cabinet made by Rimouski’s Atelier Canop\u00e9e<\/em>.<\/p>\n
