On November 13th<\/sup> and 14th<\/sup>, 2023, Focal Naim America<\/strong> presented its new professional monitor, the Trio6<\/em>, from the ST6<\/em> series. The introduction took place at Studios Piccolo<\/strong> located at 1977 Lepailleur Streetm in Montreal.<\/span><\/p>\n

This new monitor model replaces Focal<\/strong>‘s Trio6\u00a0Be<\/em>, which has already had a very successful career and a strong presence in several global recording studios. Thanks to its dual focus mode, the Trio6 ST6<\/em> monitor can be transformed into a one, two, or three-way loudspeaker to adapt its sound according to mixing needs or for close-range listening. It’s like having three monitors in a single cabinet unit. Additionally, its tweeter<\/em>\u00a0\/\u00a0midrange module is adjustable for vertical or horizontal loudspeaker orientation. In the horizontal position, an LMF<\/em> 160\u00a0Hz filter is provided for reflections due to positioning on consoles.<\/span><\/p>\n

The new Trio6 ST6<\/em> is a three-way active monitoring<\/em> loudspeaker that includes three amplifiers operating in Class\u00a0G<\/em>. These separately power the three transducers with a 50\u00a0W module for the tweeter<\/em> and a 100\u00a0W module each for the 13\u00a0cm midrange and 20\u00a0cm woofer<\/em>. The inverted dome Beryllium tweeter<\/em> has been retained, and its dispersion has been improved with its new horn and protective grille. Furthermore, this tweeter<\/em> is equipped with a rear chamber that isolates it from vibrations from the midrange speaker.<\/span><\/p>\n
