Constellation Audio<\/strong> put together a striking setup that was fronted by a pair of Wilson<\/strong> Alexx\u00a0V<\/em> loudspeakers (approx. $150,000\u00a0U.S.) flanking a single but massive Constellation<\/strong> Hercules\u00a0II Stereo<\/em> amplifier ($125,000\u00a0U.S.) from their Reference Product Series<\/em>.<\/p>\n

A quiet and appreciative group of patrons sat silently taking in the music of Marta Gomez <\/strong>& Andres Rotmistrovsky<\/strong>, played from a 2019 Newvelle Records<\/strong> (NVM005) vinyl issue. The sound was absolutely delicious, with a well composed, taught and textures while combining warmth with delicate detail, played on a Tech DAS<\/strong> Airforce\u00a0III<\/em> turntable.
\n<\/strong>
\nHandling the phono signal was a Constellation<\/strong> Andromeda<\/em> phono preamp that was playing into a Virgo\u00a0III<\/em> preamplifier ($43,000 U.S.). Though I didn\u2019t stay for a digital demonstration, I was told that a DCS<\/strong> Rossini<\/em> with clock was being used. The rack the equipment was sitting on was by Artesania Audio<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

T+A Electroakustik
\nT+A<\/strong> was displaying their new R\u00a02500\u00a0R<\/em> Multi Source Receiver (\u20ac 14,500) that is set for release in Autumn 2023. This new component provides immense functionality within a compact and austere package, including a streamer that handles streaming services but also Connect<\/em> and AirPlay<\/em> services, and even\u2026DSD<\/em> streaming. With 3\u00a0x analogue and 3\u00a0x HDMI inputs, a USB DAC<\/em> input and a CD<\/em> transport, it provides great functionality.<\/p>\n

\nT+A<\/strong> was also showing off their all new Solitare\u00a0S<\/em> loudspeaker collection that includes 3\u00a0models, from largest to smallest: S\u00a0540<\/em> ($55k U.S.); S\u00a0530<\/em> ($45k U.S.) and; S\u00a0430<\/em> ($29k U.S. \/ pair).<\/p>\n

The system being demonstrated was fronted by a pair of Solitaire S\u00a0540<\/em> loudspeakers that pairs their 85\u00a0mm long Mag850<\/em> tweeter with 7\u00a0mid drivers and 4\u00a0bass drivers per speaker. A pair of M40HV<\/em> monoblock amplifiers (\u20ac24k) were controlled an all-new PSD 3100HV<\/em> Pre-Amplifier-Streaming-DAC (\u20ac16,500) with a PDT\u00a03100 HV Reference CD\u00a0\/\u00a0SACD<\/em> Transport and G\u00a02000\u00a0R<\/em> Turntable (\u20ac7,900), as sources.<\/p>\n

Violins playing sounded open and airy with the texture of the bows across the strings vividly revealed. On Sam McClain<\/strong>\u2019s Take Five<\/em>, the sound was delicate and detailed with controlled and solid bass.<\/p>\n

Perlisten Audio
\nPerlisten Audio<\/strong> is a brand of speakers that seems to be getting some attention lately. It\u2019s a rather new brand but seems to do a great job in marketing its brand and products. At the show, I met Lars Johansen<\/strong>, CSO and Partner, at Perlisten<\/strong>. He told me about their Model\u00a0S7t Tower<\/em> loudspeaker that employs their DPC<\/em>-Array to maximize integration of mid\u00a0\/\u00a0high frequencies and uses a 28\u00a0mm Beryllium dome tweeter, along with a pair of TPCD<\/em> domes. The S7t<\/em> sells for between $18k and $20k U.S. and is the company\u2019s lead product. Also shown is their S5m<\/em> bookshelf speaker in Ebony High Gloss.<\/p>\n

\"\"<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

The S-Series<\/em> from Perlisten<\/strong> is the first consumer product to receive a THX Dominus<\/em> certification\u00a0\u2013 the highest rating, and applies to their in-wall speakers, as well. Perlisten<\/strong> was also demonstrating their all-new S7t Limited Edition<\/em> loudspeaker (sold out) that employs an upgraded carbon fiber body and solid aluminum front baffle, all hand-made in the U.S. for $30k U.S.\u00a0\/\u00a0pair and limited to 50\u00a0pairs\u00a0\u2013 unfortunately, in all the excitement and clamour around the product I did not get a viable pic. A short demo of this speaker with a D\u2019Agostino<\/strong> Momentum<\/em> integrated produced amazing bass slam and room filling smooth sound.<\/p>\n
