Plusieurs probl\u00e8mes se posent, tous fort bien r\u00e9solus par <strong>Jonathan Cooper<\/strong> au <strong>Henry Wood Hall<\/strong> de Londres. Le premier est celui des timbres. En scrutant, par exemple, l\u2019alliance de la fl\u00fbte et du piano dans un r\u00e9cent disque <strong>Warner<\/strong> d\u2019<strong>Emmanuel Pahud<\/strong> et <strong>Daniel Barenbo\u00efm<\/strong>, nous n\u2019avions nullement cette puret\u00e9 et cette clart\u00e9 des contours. Les timbres sont, ici, admirablement rendus et certains (hautbois\u2009!) sont enchanteurs.<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Le second point est la balance id\u00e9ale <em>espace vs. matit\u00e9<\/em>. La musique pour vents est connue comme la <em>musique de plein air<\/em>. Mais l\u2019inscrire dans un espace trop vaste fait perdre de la pr\u00e9cision. \u00c0 contrario, l\u2019\u00e9cueil dans lequel tombe trop de preneurs de son est celui de l\u2019enfermement excessif, donnant un <em>son de bo\u00eete<\/em>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 20px;\"><span style=\"font-size: 16px;\">Le troisi\u00e8me \u00e9l\u00e9ment est le dosage entre les vents et le piano. Le choix ici est tr\u00e8s juste sur le plan musical\u2009: le piano est un appoint par rapport \u00e0 des vents \u00e0 l\u2019avant-sc\u00e8ne.
