Le groupe <strong>ORA<\/strong> est form\u00e9 de chercheurs montr\u00e9alais en nanotechnologie dont les travaux portent sur l\u2019utilisation du graphene dans le domaine de l\u2019audio. Ce mat\u00e9riau a \u00e9t\u00e9 d\u00e9couvert en\u00a02004 par les professeurs <strong>Andre Geim<\/strong> et <strong>Kostya Novoselov<\/strong> de l\u2019<strong>Universit\u00e9 de Manchester <\/strong>alors qu\u2019ils faisaient des recherches sur l\u2019oxyde de graphite. Ainsi le <em>GrapheneQ<sup>MD<\/sup><\/em> est utilis\u00e9 pour former des membranes de haut-parleurs apparemment plus rigides, plus l\u00e9g\u00e8res et donc plus performantes que celles des autres mat\u00e9riaux employ\u00e9s jusqu\u2019\u00e0 maintenant.<\/p>\n<p>Les travaux actuels du groupe <strong>ORA<\/strong> ont men\u00e9 \u00e0 un prototype de casque d\u2019\u00e9coute dont la membrane du micro-transducteur est form\u00e9e \u00e0 partir du <em>GrapheneQ<sup>MD<\/sup><\/em>. D\u2019autres applications pourraient trouver preneurs dans le domaine de l\u2019audio mais pour l\u2019instant chez <strong>ORA<\/strong>, on s\u2019attarde \u00e0 trouver du financement sur <strong>Kickstarter<\/strong> afin de produire \u00e0 plus grande \u00e9chelle le casque d\u2019\u00e9coute <em>Graphene Audio<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube-nocookie.com\/embed\/WKsKzo4Z6_I?rel=0\" width=\"647\" height=\"367\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>Le 18\u00a0juillet dernier, le groupe <strong>ORA<\/strong> avait r\u00e9quisitionn\u00e9 la boutique <strong>Art et Son<\/strong> situ\u00e9e au 5448 du boulevard Saint-Laurent \u00e0 Montr\u00e9al pour y tenir un \u00e9v\u00e8nement sp\u00e9cial du genre d\u00e9gustation de vins et fromages.
