Mais ils sont fous! Certains groupes ne vont graver que les meilleures versions de chaque chanson, il vont faire un album avec un mix de toutes les chansons ou y mettre toutes les versions radio parce que c\u2019est Monsieur et Madame tout le Monde qui vont acheter les disques. Eh bien non, Leftfield refont les chansons pour le disque de A \u00e0 Z, ils les\u00a0imaginent de nouveau, les travaillent et changent leur style. Ils prennent aussi le temps et donnent la d\u00e9f\u00e9rence n\u00e9cessaire aux pi\u00e8ces musicales en ajoutant des chanteurs et collaborateurs pour toutes les pi\u00e8ces les n\u00e9cessitant.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong class=\"\">Il y a une sonorit\u00e9 particuli\u00e8re \u00e0 Leftism.<\/strong>\u00a0L\u2019album ne peut pas \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme \u00abprogressive house\u00bb ou m\u00eame simplement house. En fait,\u00a0la seule \u00e9tiquette qui colle r\u00e9ellement est musique \u00e9lectronque. Certaines des pi\u00e8ces sont plus des\u00a0<em class=\"\">dubs<\/em>, d\u2019autres sont plus\u00a0<em class=\"\">jungle<\/em>, d\u2019autres ajoutent des relents de scratching, d\u2019autres du old-style avec des 808, 303,\u00a0du Oberheim&#8230; ou m\u00eame une chanson comme\u00a0<em class=\"\">Cut For Life<\/em>\u00a0qui poss\u00e8de tous ces styles et instruments dans la m\u00eame pi\u00e8ce. L\u2019album ne peut pas non plus \u00eatre consid\u00e9r\u00e9 comme ayant une suite logique; la sonorit\u00e9 y est, mais il n\u2019y a pas r\u00e9ellement de progression comme un mix. En fait&#8230; si, il y en a une, mais ce n\u2019est pas le but premier du disque.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong class=\"\">Comme toute ancienne sonorit\u00e9, il y a des choses qui vieillissent mal.<\/strong>\u00a0Les instruments \u00e9lectroniques sont parfois inad\u00e9quats et il y a parfois des pi\u00e8ces musicales qui font leur \u00e2ge. N\u2019emp\u00eache que le disque s\u2019\u00e9coute encore incroyablement bien. On l\u2019appr\u00e9cie par ses diff\u00e9rents styles, ses chansons qui ont fait individuellement des succ\u00e8s et qui font un tout coh\u00e9rent. On comprend parfaitement que le disque ait grimp\u00e9 dans les Billboard\u00a0et Top UK,\u00a0ait re\u00e7u des prix et qu\u2019il ait fait \u00e9cole. \u00c7a serait comme dire que MCMXC A.D. de Enigma serait vieilli\u00a0: bien&#8230; oui! et? Alors&#8230; le meilleur?\u00a0On verra dans 20 ans mais \u00e0 date, c\u2019est bien parti!<\/p>\n<p class=\"\"><strong class=\"\">Et la qualit\u00e9?\u00a0<\/strong>Ce disque triple poss\u00e8de la qualit\u00e9 de son d\u00e9faut\u00a0: trois disques avec tr\u00e8s peu de mat\u00e9riel par face, pr\u00e9vu\u00a0et con\u00e7u pour des DJ. Une sonorit\u00e9 superbe, forte,\u00a0vraiment peu de bruit de fond, une absence quasi compl\u00e8te de\u00a0<em class=\"\">popcorn<\/em>, parfois un peu de bruit \u00e0 cause des fr\u00e9quences extr\u00eames. On change donc les faces \u00e0 chaque\u00a0onze minutes. Mais quelle exp\u00e9rience parfaite! Le disque provient d\u2019un matri\u00e7age num\u00e9rique effectu\u00e9 de main de ma\u00eetre par Matt Colton (qui a gagn\u00e9 le\u00a0Music Producers Guild Mastering Engineer of the Year en 2013 &#8211; en \u00e9coutant ce projet, je dirais que ce prix est justifi\u00e9) et le disque ne sonne aucunement num\u00e9rique.
