Montr\u00e9al, mars 2014 \u2013<\/b> D\u2019origine canadienne, la pianiste, chanteuse et auteur-compositeur de jazz Laila Biali<\/b> a partag\u00e9 la sc\u00e8ne avec Chris Botti, Paula Cole et Suzanne Vega en plus d\u2019enregistrer et d\u2019effectuer les premi\u00e8res parties des spectacles de Sting. De retour d\u2019une courte tourn\u00e9e am\u00e9ricaine, elle sera de passage au Qu\u00e9bec entre le 28 mars et le 26 avril dans le cadre de sa tourn\u00e9e canadienne. Sa musique jazz est teint\u00e9e d\u2019un subtil m\u00e9lange de pop, de rock, de classique et de musique du monde, le tout formant un style bien unique.<\/p>\n

Son album studio, Tracing Lights<\/i> (2011), fut nomm\u00e9 aux prix JUNO dans la cat\u00e9gorie Meilleur album Jazz vocal<\/i> et son plus r\u00e9cent disque, Live In Concert<\/i> enregistr\u00e9 au Glenn Gould Studio de Toronto, capture l\u2019essence m\u00eame de l\u2019artiste sur sc\u00e8ne.<\/p>\n

Elle a pr\u00e9sent\u00e9 sa musique sur des sc\u00e8nes prestigieuses \u00e0 travers cinq continents dont au North Sea Jazz Festival, au Cotton Club de Tokyo, au El Festival Internacional de Lima au P\u00e9rou et l\u2019immortel Carnegie Hall \u00e0 New York.<\/p>\n

Laila Biali<\/b> est \u00e9galement membre du quartet n\u00e9o-classique f\u00e9minin new-yorkais Rose & the Nightingale dont les membres accompagnent Esperanza Spalding. Maintes fois prim\u00e9e, elle a entre autre remport\u00e9 le prix du Compositeur de l\u2019Ann\u00e9e SOCAN<\/i> et celui de la Clavi\u00e9riste de l\u2019ann\u00e9e<\/i> aux National Jazz Awards. Elle partage son temps entre New York et Toronto.<\/p>\n
