Montr\u00e9al, janvier 2013<\/strong> \u2013\u00a0 Avec cet audacieux nouveau projet, le r\u00e9put\u00e9 saxophoniste Joel Miller<\/strong> rend, accompagn\u00e9 de son groupe Honeycomb<\/strong>, un hommage \u00e0 la sc\u00e8ne world de Montr\u00e9al qui l’a influenc\u00e9 depuis le d\u00e9but de sa carri\u00e8re.<\/p>\n

Le disque est rempli de rythmes fr\u00e9n\u00e9tiques qui lancent Miller dans une nouvelle direction musicale avec un incroyable groupe de musiciens compos\u00e9 du virtuose batteur cubain Kiko Osorio, de Kullak Viger Rojas au Cajon et Congas, de R\u00e9mi-Jean Leblanc \u00e0 la basse et de John Roney aux claviers.<\/p>\n

Joel Miller<\/strong> se produira avec Honeycomb<\/strong> le 18 janvier prochain \u00e0 L\u2019Upstair<\/strong>s, afin de pr\u00e9senter ses toutes nouvelles compositions dans le cadre d\u2019un spectacle-lancement.<\/p>\n

Joel Miller a lanc\u00e9 son premier album Find A Way<\/em> en 1996. Suivirent Playgrounds<\/em> (1998), Sky Beneath My Feet<\/em> (1999), ainsi que deux albums plus contrast\u00e9s: Mandala<\/em> (2001) et Tantramar (2008). Il a, l\u2019an dernier, fait paraitre Swim<\/em> (Origin Records), un album unanimement encens\u00e9 par la critique mettant en vedette Geoffrey Keezer<\/strong>, Greg Ritchie<\/strong> et Fraser Hollins<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Joel Miller a jou\u00e9 et enregistr\u00e9 aux c\u00f4t\u00e9s d\u2019Ingrid Jensen, Geoffrey Keezer, Matt Wilson, Ben Monder, Kurt Rosenwinkel, Denzal Sinclare, Gary Versace<\/strong> et Henry Hey<\/strong>, en plus de participer au r\u00e9cent projet Treeline<\/em> de sa conjointe Christine Jensen<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
