Mais d\u00e9sormais, le choix des artistes appel\u00e9s \u00e0 enregistrer est davantage guid\u00e9 par le <em>marketing<\/em> et le jeunisme ambiant que par des consid\u00e9rations artistiques. Il est donc tout \u00e0 l\u2019honneur de <em><strong>Decca<\/strong><\/em> d\u2019avoir engag\u00e9 <strong><em>Nelson Freire<\/em><\/strong> il y a une quinzaine d\u2019ann\u00e9es et de s\u2019\u00eatre tenu \u00e0 ce choix, \u00e0 raison d\u2019une parution annuelle. Des concertos pour piano de <em><strong>Brahms<\/strong><\/em> au r\u00e9cital <em><strong>Liszt<\/strong><\/em> de\u00a02011, les disques de <em><strong>Nelson Freire<\/strong><\/em> sont autant de r\u00e9f\u00e9rences. L\u2019opus de l\u2019ann\u00e9e 2012 est consacr\u00e9 \u00e0 la musique pour piano br\u00e9silienne et son seul d\u00e9faut est de ne pas faire de place au compositeur <em><strong>Ernesto Nazareth<\/strong><\/em>, qui, comme <strong><em>Chopin<\/em><\/strong>, a su dans ses Valses faire de la danse au piano un noble sujet de divertissement. Outre la figure de proue d\u2019<em><strong>Heitor Villa Lobos<\/strong><\/em>, <strong><em>Nelson Freire<\/em><\/strong> convoque ici notamment <em><strong>Carmargo Guarneri<\/strong><\/em> et <strong><em>Francesco Mignone<\/em><\/strong>, dont les \u0153uvres orchestrales enregistr\u00e9es par l\u2019\u00e9tiquette <em><strong>BIS<\/strong><\/em> nous avaient s\u00e9duits jadis. On trouve aussi des compositeurs encore moins connus, tels <strong><em>Alexandre L\u00e9vy<\/em><\/strong>, <strong><em>Claudio Santoro<\/em><\/strong> ou <strong><em>Henrique Oswald<\/em><\/strong>.
