THE MANLEY STINGRAY II & STINGRAY iTube

At CES 2011 Manley presents the brand new Stingray amplifiers, featuring 12AT7 input tubes, 6414 driver tubes, and 8 x super strong Russian EL84. The B+ capacity has been largely increased which results in an even tighter bottom end. Triode to UltraLinear switching is now standard. Flexible routing for recording and subwoofer outputs are also provided.
The remote control transmits via RF and IR.

The Stingray II has four sets of stereo analog inputs. The 4th input is on a stereo 1/8″ jack for easy interface with portable devices and computers. The Stingray iTube has an iPod dock as the 4th audio input which will charge and play your iPod, iPhone, or iTouch device. Track advance, back and volume control can be commanded from the Stingray iTube’s remote control. The iPod’s video output can be ported to a monitor via the S-Video output. The Stingray iTube has been licensed from Apple as a Made for iPod approved device.

Sonneteer

At the Venetian this year, Sonneteer showcased The Sonneteer Morpheus Music Centre.. It has its own stand, a server which rips and stores music and, courtesy of Reciva the internet radio people, an app that will remotely control all functions on all the Morpheus units you may have in your home.

All of these will be on show alongside a selection of beautifully crafted loudspeakers from Sonneteer’s brothers in arms, Penaudio.

The Morpheus Server indubitably showed off its skilled silence as well as its ability to look beautiful in its hand crafted, engraved aluminum coat. The music centre as well as a new stand will be going blue in the form of a Bluetooth option so iPhones, iPods, iPads and just about any other mobile phone or device with Bluetooth built in can send music to it.
Talking of colours the full range of 12 will be on show; an option now available on all Sonneteer products.

dCS Only The Music

dCS debuts The Debussy DAC, the future hub of your digital playback system. Debussy combines the legendary dCS Ring DAC and our patent pending asynchronous USB technology in one box to deliver a DAC that will extract amazing performance from any digital source.

The unit features a sleek solid all aluminum fascia and casing, all metal buttons. Whether the source be a CD or Computer Audio, Debussy will extract every last bit of detail, bringing a reality to the music that you never heard before.

The Debussy DAC dCS Ring DAC, which oversamples all incoming data to 5 bits at 2.822 or 3.07 MS/s.

Debussy DAC features standard AES3, Dual AES and SPDIF inputs in addition to the USB2.0 interface. The digital volume control allows direct connection to a power amplifier, so often there is then no need for a preamplifier. Maximum output can be either two or six volts to suit different amp/speaker combinations.

Two filters are provided offering listeners the choice between linear phase with pre-ringing or non-linear phase without pre-ringing. Debussy can be locked to an external word clock signal generated by a dCS Master Clock – this produces a substantial performance improvement.

Debussy also benefits from dCS ‘soft’ approach to programmable logic, which allows new software to be loaded from a dCS update disc or connected computer to add new features and adapt to changes in digital formats.
