THIEL<\/strong> have just released their brand new floorstanding speaker, the CS2.7<\/em><\/span><\/span>. It succeeds the CS2.4<\/em> as their mid-priced Classic Collection<\/em> speaker. The new CS2<\/em> series surely has learned a lot from the CS3.7<\/em> \u2013\u00a0as it now uses curved ply walls rather than flat MDF<\/em>, and the coaxial driver is straight from the CS3.7<\/em>. The result is a far greater degree of clarity, transparency, sense of space and involvement in your music. They simply play beautifully.<\/p>\n

The CS2.7<\/em> incorporates new technologies developed for our flagship CS3.7<\/em> loudspeaker including a state-of-the-art coaxial\/coincident driver. The midrange element itself has perfectly neutral response to 20kHz –\u00a0an upper range specification seldom attained even by tweeters.<\/p>\n

Deep, fast, and tight bass emanates from an all THIEL<\/strong>-designed and built 8-inch woofer supported by a passive radiator that provides the bass extension of a tuned port with none of the breathy “chuffing noises” associated with vented enclosure designs. The result is authoritative bass response boasting the detail and articulation of a sealed cabinet.<\/p>\n

The newly designed CS2.7<\/em> enclosure wraps THIEL<\/strong>‘s unique driver designs in a very attractive, ultra-rigid bent plywood laminated with your choice of hardwood veneer. THIEL<\/strong>‘s non-resonant enclosure preserves critical detail during playback–\u00a0more so than even prior generations of the THIEL<\/strong> CS2<\/em> series speakers which had already excelled in this regard.
