The UK\u2019s leading high-performance A\/V cable manufacturer, The Chord Company<\/strong>, has launched its most advanced analogue interconnect to date: Sarum Super ARAY<\/em>. The new high-performance cable forms part of The Chord Company<\/strong>\u2019s new flagship Sarum Super ARAY<\/em> range, a reference-level line-up first unveiled at Sound and Vision 2015<\/strong>, in February.<\/p>\n

Sarum Super ARAY<\/em> technology distils 30 years of Chord<\/strong> know-how into a very special cable range. The Sarum Super ARAY<\/em> interconnect builds on the musical coherence that made the award-winning Sarum Tuned ARAY<\/em> cables (which Sarum Super ARAY<\/em> replaces), so popular.<\/p>\n

The new Sarum Super ARAY<\/em> configuration reveals levels of detail, dynamics and naturalness of timbre that are quite extraordinary. Even better, it\u2019s retro-fittable: owners of the original Sarum Tuned ARAY<\/em> interconnects can upgrade to full Super ARAY<\/em> specification!<\/p>\n

Proprietary technology<\/strong>
\n<\/em>The Sarum Super ARAY<\/em> interconnect (like all other Sarum Super ARAY<\/em> cables) takes all that made the Sarum Tuned ARAY<\/em> cables so special and seemingly removes yet another layer of noise, revealing a startling level of musical detail. It delivers a coherence that makes all the extra detail not just easy to hear, but easy to listen to as well. New PTFE RCA plugs<\/strong>
\n<\/em>The Sarum Super ARAY RCA<\/em> cable is fitted with a new precision-machined UK-made PTFE<\/em> plug surround which introduces a number of sonic advantages over the acrylic plugs used on its predecessor; the benefits of PTFE<\/em> are extremely easy to hear.<\/p>\n

Sarum Super ARAY improvements<\/strong>
\n<\/em>The Sarum Super ARAY<\/em> uses the same high-quality conductors and cable as the previous Sarum<\/em>, which have proven unbeatable: micro-polished silver-plated conductors, with a gas-foamed PTFE<\/em> dielectric and the unusually high-density foil and braid combination shielding.<\/p>\n

Customer upgrade programme<\/strong>
\n<\/em>Existing owners of Sarum Tuned ARAY<\/em> or Sarum<\/em> cables, can return them to The Chord Company<\/strong> for an upgrade to the new Sarum Super ARAY<\/em> specification for a modest fee. The cables are completely disassembled and then carefully re-built. Signal pins and earth shrouds are examined and replaced if necessary, and the new Super ARAY<\/em> conductors are fitted. The cable is then re-built with the new precision-machined PTFE<\/em> plug surrounds.<\/p>\n
