September 29, 2015 — Cary Audio is excited to be displaying two of its newest products at this year’s RMAF show! Our system will consist of the NEW DMS-500 Network Audio Player, the NEW TL-300d vacuum tube preamplifier, and our CAD-120S MkII power amplifier using all Kimber Kable.
The Cary Audio DMS-500 is a world-class network audio player like no other. Stream native DSD up to 256 and PCM up to 32 bit/384kHz from networked computers with our simple plug-n-play PC Share protocol, or from any installed server. The DMS-500 can also up-convert any PCM signal to any of 3 DSD levels: 64, 128, 256. Sources include Ethernet and Wi-Fi network streaming, (3) USB Type A inputs for USB HDDs or thumb drives and an SD Card slot for computer-less playback, integrated Internet music services like Spotify, Tidal, and more, aptX® Bluetooth, as well as multiple SPDIF digital inputs and outputs. The DMS-500 includes a full color 5” HD display for stunning visuals of album artwork. Control includes a hand held IR remote, and custom apps for Android and iOS.
The New TL-300d combines a reference level vacuum tube line-stage preamplifier with that of our reference DAC technology. Now one unit can connect all one’s analog and digital inputs in a single 3-U chassis with styling to match its performance. Four (4) analog inputs (XLR & RCA), USB Type-B input for connecting a computer capable of 32 bit/ 384kHz PCM and DSD64, 128, 256 Playback, aptX® Bluetooth, Coaxial, Toslink and AES/EBU inputs and a see-thru window to see the glow of the four (4) 12AX7 vacuum tubes performing their Cary Audio magic. The TL-300d is first and foremost a line-stage preamplifier which happens to include our highly sought after digital section and performance. A no compromise integrated solution for a new generation.
